This week’s flavor is one that you will try once and
be hooked. I must say, I am a little biased about this flavor; it is my
favorite. Therefore, this week’s featured froyo is…drumroll please…. CAKE
BATTER. At the Lancaster SweetFrog, Cake Batter is a guaranteed always-present
flavor. It is such a big hit that it is always available and always ready to be
served to the masses that enter our store each day. The combos that best
exemplify our signature Cake Batter include “Birthday Cake”, “Cake Craze”, and “Fruit
Cake”. Mentally prepare yourself, this post is going to blow your mind and make
you crave some Cake Batter froyo.
To
start us off, we have the “Birthday Cake” concoction! Of course, this
combination is a great choice if you decide to come in for a birthday. To
replicate this incredible combo, make a base layer in your cup of pound cake
bites, then add a considerable amount of Cake Batter froyo. Next, make your way
over to the toppings bar and add some more pound cake bites, cheesecake bites, and
either white chocolate, milk chocolate, or peanut butter chips depending on
what you are feeling. To TOP THAT, you will want to add your preference of
sauces (we suggest hot fudge, peanut butter, or white chocolate sauce to match
your chips), and, per usual, our known whipped cream. Lastly, complete your
masterpiece with some rainbow sprinkles!
Next
up, “Cake Craze” is brought to you by the creative minds of the Lancaster
SweetFrog employees. “Cake Craze” another must-try delicious combination begins
with a solid foundation of Cake Batter froyo. Then, head over to the toppings
bar and add some pound cake or cheesecake bites, chocolate covered pretzels,
mini chocolate chips, your choice of candy bar chunks (Reece’s PB Cups,
Twix, Snickers, Kit Kat, Heath, and Butterfinger), Nilla Wafers, and
Marshmallows. To TOP THAT, add whipped cream, hot fudge, and other sauces of
your choice. Just go CRAZy!
Lastly, we have our
“Fruit Cake” combination. As usual, this last one is a little out there… but
option three is always worth a try. In my personal opinion, this combo is refreshingly
delicious. Plus, you are able to eat a little unhealthy, but still have a
healthy factor to it – fruit of course! Therefore, start with your Cake Batter
froyo and pound cake pieces or cheesecake bites. Next, add all the fruit you
desire. Fruit options include strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, cherries, and
occasionally mango, banana, or blueberries. In addition, you can add your
choice of various flavored fruit poppers (cherry,
strawberry, green apple, kiwi, pomegranate, passion fruit, and mango). Lastly,
TOP THAT with our homemade strawberry sauce, designer strawberry sauce, or
designer raspberry sauce and (of course) whipped cream. And there you have it,
a not-too-gross “Fruit Cake”.
