One of the most satisfying endeavors has to be a spontaneous visit to the nearest frozen yogurt shop; it is one outing that almost everyone can relate to. Oftentimes, though, people are faced with the excruciating decision of which yogurts, toppings, and sauces to mix and match. Well, in this blog you will find a variety of options and all the information you need to create the tastiest and most artistic masterpieces when you stop in! Hopefully these creations, formulated by the professional minds of the Lancaster SweetFrog employees, spike not only your appetite but also your imagination!
To kick off our “Top That! (The Insider Info on The Best SweetFrog Combos)” series, we must start with the cliché, but still most popular, flavor of frozen yogurt…VANILLA! Now you may be thinking vanilla is same-old, same-old, BUT SweetFrog has raised the bar! With the options of Country Vanilla and No Sugar Added Vanilla, every vanilla-lover can be satisfied. Arguably, the NSA Vanilla is still a delicious choice and difficult to identify as a sugar-free option. In addition, Country Vanilla is a more desirable taste than your average vanilla. And now...onto the good stuff!
So, you are probably itching to know what some of these delectable combinations are, right? Well, let me enlighten you. On the top three vanilla concoctions list, we have the “Plain Jane”, the “Chocolate Brownie Sundae”, and the “White Out”. Each combination presents its own unique flavor and each is a crowd pleaser.
Given the name “Plain Jane”, you can probably guess what this piece is made up of: classic vanilla sundae toppings. What we have selected as the ‘classic sundae toppings’ consist of our light and fluffy whipped cream, infamous hot fudge, intriguing rainbow sprinkles, and of course, a signature cherry on top. Even though this option is a classic, you can never go wrong with a vanilla sundae. However, we encourage you to spice up your concoction with the addition of Nutella sauce, waffle cone pieces, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup chunks, crumbled Oreos, Nilla Wafers, gummy candies, juice poppers, and/or a variety of fruit!
Next up, we have the popular “Chocolate Brownie Sundae” creation! The obvious necessities of this combo consist of brownie bites, chocolate chips, and hot fudge. Our “insider knowledge” encourages that you first prep your cup by starting with a layer of brownie bites and then adding the vanilla frozen yogurt. After having both the bottom layer and fill of yogurt, you can add more brownie bites, the chocolate chips, and the hot fudge. With this combination, after adding the essentials, you have a variety of choices to make in order to complete your piece. Some of the other ‘chocolatey’ add-ins you might select consist of our candy bar chunks (Reece’s PB Cups, Twix, Snickers, Kit Kat, Heath, and Butterfinger). Other complimentary add-ins include marshmallows, Nilla Wafers, nuts (peanuts or almonds), and chocolate covered pretzels. After making your selection, don’t forget to top it off with some whipped cream and/or Nutella sauce!
Lastly, the desirable “White Out” combination. Now, this combination is a little more far-fetched and all over the place. In order to try this combination, you have to be willing to experiment with some toppings people wouldn’t usually consider putting together. The recipe for this froyo is as follows: when at the toppings bar, select EVERYTHING white. Therefore, start with your Country Vanilla or NSA Vanilla froyo and build your treat up with all the white toppings you can find. Our white toppings include white chocolate chips, marshmallows, coconut, whipped cream, and marshmallow sauce. If you are looking for more toppings to add to your “White Out” because the white just doesn’t cut it, we’ll let you slip by suggesting you add some neutral colored toppings. Some of these neutral colored toppings include peanuts, Nilla Wafers, granola, or pretzels.
And there you have it, the best three combinations you can make out of Vanilla frozen yogurt! So the next time you have a craving and decide to stop in, you have the insider knowledge on the best SweetFrog combinations. Hopefully at least one of these options appealed to your appetite and hopefully you developed some of your own creative ideas for froyo along the way!
